Advantages: Over land, an enemy would have to get past both Mordor and Near Harad in order to reach the lands of the Moredain. The plains of Far Harad have many exotic resources (especially animals) that are sought by many nations. The lands of the Moredain also have many other ally tribes nearby in the other parts of Far Harad. Warriors are cheap and so easy to hire in large numbers.
